The Scan Manager is where you can manage the environments (3D Scans, or digital twins) that will serve as the basis for all your interactions with RSET.
To access the Scan Manager, simply select "Scan Manager" from the Main Menu:
Once inside Scan Manager you will see several options along the top bar of the manager:
+Scan: Selecting this option will open a file browser dialog windows. RSET will drop you in the Scans folder first, which defaults to Documents/RSET_Scans and is automatically created the first time you launch RSET. You can always change this in the "Settings" menu. Browse to an .obj file and double-click or click "Open" after highlighting the file.
+Terrain: RSET can load Context-Capture style tile sets automatically. Lean more about this feature here: Loading Terrain (Context Capture)
Browse Matterpaks: RSET has partnered with Matterport to allow you to link your Matterport account to your RSET account so that Matterpaks can be purchased and loaded without needing to leave RSET. More information here: Linked Data Sources (Matterport, RCS)
RCS (Reality Cloud Studio): RSET has partnered with Leica Hexagon to allow you to link your Reality Cloud Studio account to your RSET account, directly accessing your Reality Cloud Studio projects and mesh data from inside RSET. More information here: Linked Data Sources (Matterport, RCS)
Ecosystem: This is another option for browsing scans, scenarios, and assets you have local on your filesystem (or, if you are an Ecosystem user, on your Ecosystem cloud). It takes a little bit to generate and update the database, especially if you have a lot of scans.
Random Interior: You won't be able to use this feature without having a "Rooms" directory in your "RSET_Scans" directory. It uses 3D Scans of individual rooms (and some accompanying metadata) to procedurally generate sprawling random interiors. More info here: Random Interiors
Load/Save Layout: A layout is simply an arrangement of scans inside scan manager. If you had multiple scans imported to create a single cohesive environment, you could save the collection as a Layout and avoid having to individually load and position the scans each time
Close: Surprising to no one - this button closes the Scan Manager.
